Connecting heritage and technology: the research of Dimitra Mazaraki

Dimitra Mazaraki is a Greek archaeologist and a doctoral student at the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. Her academic and professional work is dedicated to the presentation, mediation, and evaluation of archaeological heritage.
In her work, she shows a special interest in the role of local communities and innovative approaches to heritage management. Currently, Dimitra is working on her doctoral dissertation under the supervision of Dr. Francisca Gili-Pelegrín and Maïli Pomade.
Her research explores how archaeological sites—specifically, the Malia monument on Crete—can be interpreted and integrated into community life through participatory methods and digital technologies.
